Will it be possible to use an AC1900 Archer C9 as router and 3 Deco m9 as AP.

Is there anything I need to be aware of. Is there something that often goes wrong.

Hello, you can use the Archer C9 as the main router and Deco M9 plus as the access point; considering Archer C9 does not support mesh network, there would be 2 different wireless networks, one is from Archer C9, the other one is the Deco mesh wifi system; whether to keep the C9's wifi or not, it is up to you. 

 

Meanwhile, there are some features not supported by the Deco when it works in AP mode, you can read the article below:
