high priority kills the speed. I had my phone on high priority and only had 200mbps. Soon as i turned off my phone pulled 700mbps. Doesnt make sense but works.

I have the exact same issues... Connection via the modem: 850 Mbps, via the router: 150 Mbps. Unbelievable that we can not turn off the Qos option in the router. We have to install an App to even acces this option... :s. What a disappointment this router...

@sudipBiswas I know this thread has a little age on it, but I just wanted to share what I have found. I am currently on a gigabit connection from the local cable company and my actual speeds when connected directly to the modem are about 970mbps. I am able to get the same through my AX3000, on one condition. Traffic Monitoring must be turned off. If it is enabled, I get around 450-480mbps. This one setting cuts my bandwidth in half. I'm not sure what kind of packet inspection the router is doing to monitor the traffic, but it is certainly not worth the speed loss. Good luck and I hope this helps.

@TheLinuxTrucker

Hi, thanks for sharing your valued experience on this speed issue with the AX3000 router. From what you have described, disabling the Traffic Monitoring on the AX3000 improved the speed, while we should say that all the traffic data will be transmitted over the router CPU and it's no longer using the NAT boost when enabling the Traffic Monitoring, thus it will affect or slow down the CPU resources.

@Ozone USB 3.0 fom Ax50 performing like USB2.0, even slower in some situations. It is a CRAP USB3.0 implementation.

Changing the "Internet Port Negotiation Speed Setting" from "Auto Negotiation" to "1000Mbps Full Duplex" did the trick for me, now I get the >700Mbps from previous 100-250Mbps dl speed. It looks like the modem is slowing down the router with lower WAN speeds if it is set to auto negotiation for some reason.

For my Archer AX50 v1.0 Firmware 1.0.9, the setting can be found in System Tools -> System Parameters -> scroll to the very bottom to "Internet Port Negotiation Speed Setting". And you need to switch to the Advanced tab of course.

Cheers,

Pascal

Did you enable High device priority or QoS feature on the Tether APP? I tried to disable these two settings on the Tether APP, my speed restored to normal.

Thank you @Fire_phoenix. That did the trick for me.
