Hi, thanks for asking. I'm afraid the answer is no, we cannot flash the WR841 firmware into the WR845, as the hardware is different.

As for the disconnection issue you encountered with the WR845 router, have you tried to change the wireless basic settings, such as channel, channel width? You may refer to this article to modify the basic settings on it and monitor again:

Hello, can we try to confirm some details about the disconnect issue you encountered with the WR845N, then we can try to fix it?

1. What is the exact issue, is the wireless unstable or both the wireless and wired connections are having issues?

2. Are all wireless devices or both wired and wireless devices experiencing the same dropout or just some special or old clients? When they got disconnected, is the wireless network of the WR845N still broadcasting or the wireless network is no longer available on all other devices as well?

3. How often does this disconnect issue happen? How did you recover the connection? It is suggested to reset it to the factory defaults and reconfigure it from scratch, leave all the settings by default and confirm again.

4. Is there any special activity that may cause the disconnect/drop out, such as high loading or downloading? How many devices are connected to the router at the same time? Try to disconnect some of them to verify if the connectivity is stable.

Thanks a lot.

@Kevin_Z the issue occurs only in wireless...sometime the wireless become unstable....but the wired is much stable and performes well...there is no issue in wired connection.....i have about 4 to 5 devices connected in the router...the problem occurs about 5 to 6 times in a day....i think tp link should release a firmware of tl wr845n v4 to fix the stability issue...many people also having problem😐

@JPCHE

Hello, thank you for bringing this up again. Can we just confirm again if the issue is the wireless signal of the WR845N will disappear and no device can "see" it? Or the devices show connected to the wireless but no internet access?

How many devices are connected to the WR845N wireless network, are all of them encountering the same issue at the same time? How about the Wi-Fi LED on the WR845N, is it correctly flashing?

How often does this issue happen?

@Kevin_Z

Hi!

Yes! Is only the WIFI signal. The LAN works fine but the wireless is unstable i found that rebooting the router fix the problem temporarily but this is very annoying make this time after time. I use the WR845N in my house with 2 Pc´s and 4 cellphones. The problem occurs often only in WIFI connections. T he cellphones start to connect disconnect and so on then i must reboot the router to fix that. I just installed the latest firmware ( TL-WR845N(UN)_V4_200909 ) for this router but the problem persist. The WR845N has only 3 leds and all in solid green none of them blink.
