Firmware Version: 1.7.0 Build 20200113 Rel. 35383(5553)

Hi,

I purchased an EAP225-Outdoor AP and set it up in Standalone Mode.  I have a 100 ft. shielded Cat 7 cable running from the PoE injector (PoE port) to the AP, and a 2 ft. Cat 6 unshielded cable running from the PoE (LAN port) to a 1Gbps Verizon Fios router (providing near 1 Gbps internet service).  When the cables are attached and the PoE injector is plugged in the AP boots up successfully and I'm able to access both the 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz wireless radios on my iPhone. So far so good.

However, the measured LAN speed for both the 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz wireless never exceeds 100Mbps.  This is confirmed when I view the status on the AP configuration page:  It shows the LAN port at "100Mbps - FD".  Why is that the case?  I certainly don't expect the wireless to be anywhere near 1 Gbps speeds, but why is the speed limited to no more than 100Mbps when the cabling and router support 1Gbps?

Please forgive me in advance if I'm not understanding how wireless and APs work, but any response you can give me on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!
