Model: Archer A2300
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

You can customize device names under the Clients list of the Network map.

However, these names are not transferred to the device list under Security -- Access Control.

Don't you want to see what each device is when you try to control access?

Is there no way to make customized device names visible in Access Control?

  @Newtonite

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Sorry to inform you that this model doesn't support synchronizing device names in access control feature. It is suggested to identify the device via the IP address or MAC address. I'll log this requirement and pass it along to the team. Since we don't have any specific details that I can share around if this feature can come to this router, or when it might, I'm moving this conversation into the ‘Feature Request (Routers)' area and tagging it as a ‘Future Consideration’ for better visibility. Feel free to let us know of any other feature requests you may have, we’d be happy to send them up for you.
