Issues with tcp connections between VLANs on the same AP
I'm having issues streaming some networked (WiFi) cameras across VLANs, but only when the client device is on the same AP as the camera. When my client device is connected to a different AP everything streams perfectly. But when they share an AP the stream dies before it can even start. I have 3 total APs, all EAP650. Two are directly connected to my switch, one is using wireless mesh. If the cameras are in the same VLAN as the client device it works perfectly. if the cameras are on a different VLAN AND a different AP it works perfectly. If the cameras are on a different VLAN but the SAME AP, it does not work.
I cannot figure out why this would be.
Update: This is caused because TCP connections will drop unexepectedly when connecting to the same AP from where they initiated, on a different ssid/vlan
I isolated it to the EAP 650 access points I was using. I replaced them with some netgear access points set up with the same SSIDs and VLANs and it works 100% correctly.

Dear @treas,

@treas I purchased a few more models
620 HD does not appear to have this issue
670 does have this issue, you can see the CPU gets pegged to the max:
Just notice this reply. May I know the detailed firmware version of your EAP devices?
Go to Devices page, click the EAP name for Details where you can find the detailed Firmware Version.
In addition, what's the model number of your cameras?

unfortunately I have already removed the non working EAPs from my controller so I no longer see the firmware information
the cameras are a combination of

Similar (same) problem with EAP670.

Same issues at my side. First I used 660HD - everything fine. Changed the setup to test EAP670 (only changed EAP660HD to EAP670) and after that I tested EAP650 (same point as described before).
Results:
The 670 and 650 went back to the seller.
A lot of peaks within the graphs, MUCH lower transmit power (with 660HD the signal and stability goes one room further!) made my decision quite easy.
Looks like something within new chipset or something else is broken?!

Sorry to say that our support engineer cannot reproduce the issue you reported in the lab.
Can you still recall which band (2.4GHz or 5GHz) was associated on your client (the phone) and cameras respectively, and How is the Channel Width configured on that band? Do you still have a copy of the configuration file for our further tests and investigation?

Thank you for your valuable feedback! I remember that you reported the EAP670 high CPU and memory issue in this thread before, but you didn't mention that there were issues with connections between VLANs on the same AP. Do you really have the same issue as what @treas have? Trying to figure out whether the high CPU and memory issue is a result of the TCP connection between VLANs.

Hi. The time I was using EAP670s I did have such problems, but thought, it is because of my test setup which was not correct. So maybe it could have been that or the issues as described over here.
At that time I didn't pay attention to it.
Sorry that I couldn't help here. I do not use the EAP670 anymore.

Hi all + @Fae,
I've bought EAP653 and probably got the issue on firmware 1.0.1 Build 20220524 Rel. 60447.
I'm using Omada controller and have opened 2 issues for EAP610 with your support team, so they already have my configuration file.
I tried ping - OK, SSH - OK, iperf3 UDP - OK, iperf3 TCP - FAIL.
I had notebook and mobile connected to the same AP and tried two scenarios. Behavior was the same on both.
1) notebook on 5GHz, mobile on 2.4 GHz IoT SSID - guest newtork enabled + ACL
2) notebook on 2.4GHz, mobile on 2.4 GHz IoT SSID - guest newtork disabled, no ACL
