Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.2

Hello

I have 2 Eap615 and one is connected to the other that is connected to my SG3210 switch , i have the problem that wlans with vlan tags don't work on the second repeater they get no IP address , on the first repeater everything is working fine.

Strangely everything was working fine but after a power outage it is not working anymore i tried readopting the repeaters and restarting everything but nothing changes.

Thank you

Ramiro

Yes it is connected to the eth3 PoE port , if i disable the Vlan on eth1 everything works thats what the problem

Thank you for your valuable feedback. It takes some time to investigate the issue.

Regarding the issue that EAP615-Wall tagging single port doesn't allow tagged traffic anymore on other unassigned ports,

please follow this solution post to get a Beta firmware to resolve it. Thanks!

  @2ramiro If it is related to VLANs, you may check two following things:

1. On TL-SG3210 switch Ports settings, the downlink port ( connected to EAP615) should have profile All;

2. On  Devices list, check the EAP615 Status and make sure it is Connected;

If the status is not Connected, try to reset the EAP and then adopt it again.

  @Somnus Hello it is set like that, the first repeater also has no Problems just the 2. the connection is like this

TL-SG3210---port4-->EAP615-1--eth4-->EAP615-2

On the EAP615-2 Wlans with vlan don't work on the EAP615-1 they do.

  @2ramiro

There's also the problem of limited VLAN options on the local ethernet ports of the wall units, and while I don't have a 615 (yet) my 235 certainly has this limitation.  Specifically, they are either untagged, or can have a single tag.  In theory, you could make a single SSID with VLAN work on the piggy-backing AP, but you will not have the same versatiity you do with the primary port of the primary AP which is connected directly to your Omada switch.  The image below is from the Device->AP->Settings...

  @d0ugmac1

Are you sure that the traffic is untagged when no Vlan is selected , because i completley forgot that i have another eap615 where a eap225 and a eap225-outdoor is connected slike this :

switch->eap615->eap225-outdoor->eap225-outdoor

                          \>eap225

and on all of them all Wifis are working fine  , so the traffic muss be tagged on the Ports with no Vlan selected i would say.

Finally found the bug? that causes this issue , if i assign a port to vlan (not the one where the 2. EAP615 is connected to) on the first EAP615 all Wlans with vlan stop working on the connected EAP615, if i don't assign any port to a vlan everything is working fine.

Are you assigning VLAN to Port4 on the SG or Eth4 on the 615-1 when the problem happens?

No just on eth1 on the 1. EAP615 , the 2. is connected to eth3 so like this

sq-switch---4(no vlan)-->EAP615---eth3 (no vlan)-->EAP615

                                                    ----eth1(vlan20)---device

@Fae this might be a bug, so heads up. @2ramiro If you configure one of the unused ports on the upstream EAP615.1 (say EAP615.1.eth2) with the vlan20, is the device connected to EAP615.2.eth1 still unable to communicate? Do the wireless devices attached to EAP615.1 on SSIDs with VLANs also stop working? As I understand your problem, as soon as you configure a VLAN on a physical port of the downstream AP (EAP615.2) then all VLANs, including those belonging to SSIDs stop working? To me that sounds like a software bug.

  @d0ugmac1

It the other way around as soon as i configure vlan on a physical port on  EAP615.1  , all SSIDS with vlans dont work anymore on  EAP615.2 on EAP615.1 they still work fine.

Just to clarfiy EAP615.2 is connect to the switch through EAP615.1 .

@fae So, it sounds like as soon as 1 615 downstream port is configured for tagging traffic, all traffic gets tagged, even if they aren't supposed to. Don't know how handy you are, but it would be interesting to do a wireshark capture via port mirroring on your SG switch of the traffic coming upstream from EAP615.1, with no VLAN's configured, and then with a VLAN configured. I can get more detailed if you know what I'm asking for :)
