Tp link is not getting an ip adress from my router

Hello i have a  it is setup basically to get ip from my router . the  is configured correctly and dishes out  to any device connected to the network, When i connect the TP link to the network my Juniper router starts to slow down and struggles to dish out , conversely devices connected to the WIFI sometimes do not get a valid ip adress or do  but cant access the internet  .

they cannot ping the gateway and from the gateway i can only ping the access point. IF i manually set the ip adress on the TP link the same issue persists. even if i give them a static ip adress , mobile devices do not connect to the access point at all?

Can I have the model number of the TP-Link device? You can find it on the device's bottom label.

 

Please also show us how is the TP-Link connected to the Juniper router, are there any other switches or extenders?

 

How did you configure the TP-Link device? Please provide more details then we may understand it better.

  @Kevin_ZThe to link is an AC 1750 omada.it is directly plugged into port ge 0/0/4 of my juniper. There are no switches or extenders on the network just a network cable to to link and a biometric clock

Is the model EAP245? AC1750 is not the model, please check again. As you can see from the TP-link official website, when searching for AX1750, there are EAP245, EAP265HD, etc.

Meanwhile, can you please show us the network layout in detail? How is this AC1750 connected to the network? Network cable to AC1750 directly? No modem or anything?

 

Do you have a stable connection when connecting a computer directly to the network cable? Please be sure that is confirmed and you do have a stable connection.

the AP is connected Via POE injector to port GE0/0/5 of the juniper SRX300

I have a stable connection to the internet as i am Part of the ISP that provided the Link for the site.Configs of the juniper have been checked by our core team and we are still unable to make the AP work .

The juniper Dishes out DHCP between 192.168.1.150 -192.168.1.200

The Omada EAP is usually plug-and-play, if you get no internet access from the EAP, please firstly confirm the main Router is working fine.

Then check the points below and see if it helps:

 

1) Ensure the EAP is hardwired to the Router via an Ethernet LAN cable, use a standard CAT5 above cable for the connection. 
     Usually we can see a corresponding LED light up on the Router.

 

2) Test the EAP’s SSID with other wireless clients, eliminate the issue is from a specific client.

 

3) Check the IP info on the wireless clients.
     To access the Internet, the clients need to get Default Gateway (Router) and DNS Server from your network through the EAP.

4) Unplug the EAP, and connect a PC instead to the Router with the same Ethernet cable, check the IP info obtained on the PC and confirm it can get internet access.

 

5) Reset the EAP: with the EAP powered on, use a pin to press and hold the reset hole for about 8 seconds until the LED flashes green-red-yellow to factory default settings.

 

6) Repeat step 1)-4) if you still get no Internet access from the EAP.

 

If it still doesn’t work, contact TP-Link support with the above results for further assistance.
