LAN IP of ER605 same as ISP modem's LAN IP - Can't access internet
Hi there,
I am trying to setup the following equipment: ER605, SG2210-MP, OC200, EAP610 (x3). I am running into a problem right from the start. There is no internet, likely due to a double LAN IP address on the modem and ER605.
I have connected a cable from my ISP's modem (an Arris TG3442) to the ER605's WAN port, then a cable from the LAN port from the ER605 to the SG2210-MP switch. The OC200, APs, and my laptop are connected to the switch.
I was able to log into the ER605 admin page. When I did the wizard, I got the popup that said "The current WAN IP conflicts with the LAN IP, please change the LAN IP of your device."
TLDR - The Problem: Both the ISP's modem LAN IP and the ER605 LAN IP are 192.168.0.1. How do I fix this? I tried changing the LAN of the ER605 to 192.168.1.1 on the admin page of the ER605, along with the Starting/Ending IPs to 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.199 respectively. However, the new login page never comes up. I tried cycling the power of the ER605, no joy. When I try to go to 192.168.1.1 it says the page cannot be found. I end up having to factory reset the ER605 and I'm back to square one.
I wanted to setup the LAN port on the ISP modem in Bridge mode, but it looks like that's disabled. I'm forced to go through the ISP modem and deal with a double LAN network, so-to-speak, although I want everything to go through the new TP-Link Omada setup.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
