Have had 1 of 2 655 Wall APs become unstable and has restarted about once a day.  i just get a popup on phone that it's back online, but can't see where in the logs i could find out why it went offline?

Hello @BoboXX,

Sorry that we have no idea when the EAP655-Wall V1 official firmware will be available, but will update this post once it's available, and you may keep an eye on the official website either.

Could you please be more specific so that we can understand the issue you encountered? Was there any error message?

Can you share a screenshot of the notices on the phone?

Could you please also tell your controller version? Are you still running the EAP655-WALL_V1_1.2.0_Build 20230717 (Beta) firmware?

How did you power up your EAP655-Wall, via the DC power or via a PoE switch?

  @Hank21

Model:EAP655-Wall(EU) v1.0, v1.2.0 fW

connected via POE from ER7212PC v1.0, v1.1.1 fw

i don't have a capture of the notification on my phone, but it essentially reported that one of my EAPs was connected\disconnected.  Where could i see this in the controller logs?  It's uptime is 21hrs now, so i'll monitor and post the notification screenshot when it next occurs.

Hi @JCUK,

You may go to Logs > Notifications, enable Device Disconnected/Device Connected on the Device page, check here:

It's uptime is 21hrs now, so i'll monitor and post the notification screenshot when it next occurs.

We're looking forward to your updates, and please confirm the physical connection like the Ethernet cables and the ports on the device are working normally.

Hello,

My notifications are set exactly as they are in your screenshot.  I've just had another notification on my phone that that AP has "connected" - but how do i figure out (via logs) why it disconnected, and how long the downtime was?  Cables and device look sound.  No errors on the controller supplying the POE  - i have another 655 wall that doesn't do this.  Cheers

Hi @JCUK

Thanks for such detailed info!

Did the client devices get disconnected or experience internet access issues when these logs occurred?

Please swap the positions of the two EAP655-Wall devices to conduct a comparison test. This will help determine whether the issue also occurs on the new EAP when connected to the same position as the original problematic EAP, which had connectivity issues.

If the problem persists, it is likely that the issue lies either in the Ethernet cable or in the front-end of the Ethernet port that supplies power to the EAP.

Hello all, i have updated my EAP-650-WALLv1(EU) with the EAP650-Wall(EU&US)_v1_1.0.3_Build 20230410 (Beta) firmware for IPV6. Everything worked okay and the IPV6 on all devices too. Afterwords i tried to update the most recent EAP650-WALL(EU)_V1_1.1.1_Build 20230814 (Beta) from AUGUST 2023, but after the firmware upgrade although no settings changed, the wireless became unstable. Ping was working, devices were getting ip but browsing was loading for ever, so i reverted to 1.0.3. Today i received from the controller a message that an update firmware "1.1.2" version is available. Ι did the upgrade and had the same problem as with 1.1.1. Devices get ip, ping works, traceroute works from every device but browsing is unstable and pages load forever or not loading at all. Something from 1.0.3 with ipv6 support to 1.1.1 & 1.1.2 changes that makes internet browsing problematic. I tried resetting the device and applying the firmware with same result. So i reverted back to 1.0.3.

Thank you

Hello @keropiko

Is there any other network latency issue other than the slow loading of web browsers pages that you mentioned? Does this slow loading problem occur on all clients?
If you do a speed test, is the internet speed normal?

Also please try different web browsers for testing, try clearing cache and history, and preferably use incognito windows.
