Model: OC200
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.24.0 Build 20230328 Rel.52384

I've just setup a new network in an office, everything has adopted correctly. Checking the devices directly and checking from within the network shows connections as stable and the cloud controller as online. Neither the LAN or WAN drop at any point and the logs show a constant connection, however i'm getting alerts from the Omada app and cloud console fails to connect to the controller.

The controller shows as online for periods but goes offline pretty much every 30 minutes then comes back after a minute. Any good way to debug or fix this issue? Not being able to manage remotely is quite a pain not to mention the alerts are more noise than help at this point.

Showing online Controller showing as online

Controller showing as offline every 30 minutes. At this point the controller is still accessible from the local network and the WAN has not dropped.

When controller showing as online, trying to connect remotely results in network timed out. WAN connection is stable sDSL line with plenty of bandwidth.

  @haswalt

Change your WAN dns to google and or cloudfare.  See if that helps?

Confirming the ISP is solid?

  @KimcheeGUN Already using cloudflare and google DNS. ISP stable, monitoring on other non TP link networks show 100% stability. Other devices on the TP link network show 100% stability, just the controller constantly dropping offline.

Hi @haswalt

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

You probably should use ping -t to verify your stability in this way when you receive the log/push notification, check the ping results. still no loss?

Run at least two commands here:

Ping 8.8.8.8 -t

Ping controller_ip -t

Monitor this and find out who's dropping.
