Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help?

I am trying to get my NORD VPN client to work with my Router.

i have added the configuration, following the details found on the TP Link site and at NORDVPN.

When I add the VPN config file and accept settings it sits stating "connecting" and nothing else.

I was expecting a prompt from NORD via email to authenticate, which I have not recevied.

I have tried resetting the NORD password, different OPVN files both UDP and TCP but always the same result

What am I doing wrong?

Hi, you are using OpenVPN Client feature on the AX73 router to connect NordVPN Server, right?

For comparison, please try to use OpenVPN Connect software on your client devices and the same .ovpn file to see if it connects to NordVPN Server successfully, which could confirm if all the configurations, username and password are all correct.

Note: please don't use NordVPN client App for comparison, as it requires your account ID and password instead of the VPN username and password.

Check your public IP address by googling "what's my ip address".

Compare this IP address with AX73 Internet IP address:

If they are not the same it means you're behined double NAT or CG-NAT and can't connect to your AX73 VPN Server.

If they are the same then you should double-check your VPN Client/Server settings.

  @terziyski

IP's are the same.

I setup a VPN server yesterday andexported and added the certificate from that with my NORD creds and that connected.

It appears to be just the NORD Servers I have choosen. I have tried both UDP and TCP.

Check your VPN Client log file to see more details on the issue and you'll find why/where the connection breakes.

For example: check this thread's troubleshooting process.
