ANTI TETHERING/ ANTI HOTSPOT
The main problem when using omada specially in voucher type businness is that anyone can actually share some ones connection through mobile hotspot
Example: a device/mobile that logged in using voucher code can share its internet connection to other device/ mobile using hotspot
Maybe you can do something about it. Something like blocking its device hotspot

@Tedd404 sharing hotspot internet through multiple device/smartphones can actually block using TTL in some brands. I am using omada and other brands in controlling my networks. In other brand i can block by programing it but its a time consuming.. omada has a user friendly interface thats why i love using it and if they will add this feature by just one click button. Its a big win

Are U sure? It can not open the hotspot once I connect to the voucher SSID on my phone. Did your phone support share the hotspot when it is connecting to the WiFi?

do you have any idea what feature would block this?? what does other brand deal with this?
'cause the issue is that android creates a new dhcp server, it seems to be invisible to the router. the phone becomes a wireless router. cannot limit what's connected behind..

do you have any idea about the function it is called?
quite curious about how ttl controls the hotspot sharing.. if ttl can control the hotspot sharing it means it can control how the router's wan functions.
update: I googled it. so I see this is mainly done on Mikrotik.
i mean the background, what would happen if the ttl's changed? i tested with my android 14, it is actually working as a router. if it's working as a router, will the TTL still work for the prevention?
i am seeing the youtube videos about this ttl change. but it seems that they already know this device is a hotspot-sharing device. (they select "bridge" device). what if you don't know? if you apply this ttl universally to all devices, will it affect their connection?
to my knowledge, they seem to be unrelated. so I have this question.
love to learn from the term so i can later look it up and learn about it.

@Tedd404 exactly, ttl can be configure using mikrotik but you must have knowledge about networking. When you succesfully configure ttl using a mikrotik router, devices or phones that are connected on your network can't share their internet through hotspot. This is very usefull in voucher type connection. Thats why i wanted to raise an option using omada because devices or phones that are connectes to it can share their internet through hotspot
