(1) Please be sure you have read the Beta Test Agreement before upgrading the Beta firmware!

(1) The above firmware is applied to ER8411 V1/1.6.
(2) Your device’s configuration won’t be lost after upgrading.

If somehow you encounter an issue during or after the upgrade, it's suggested to contact us with the following info:
- Omada Controller version
- Device Firmware version with Build number (previous and current)

The upgrade went with minor problems.
35 very long and painful minutes with upgrade, configuring and 2 offline messages, the router was finally with the status conneted. all vpn tunnels worked but no internet. tried to ping both ip and name but nothing happened.
restarted the router and after the restart everything was fine.
after a few hours I lost internet again, did another restart and everything was online again. I don't know if this was because I was playing with IDS/IPS. now the router has been stable since yesterday.
so I'll see what happens next in the next few days 
@Clive_A Ran the upgrade and in my case it went smoothly - took about 10 minutes. Although the constant "disconnected" messages were annoying. I did not have to reboot it at all and my internet came back online just fine. I also enabled IDS/IPS and the CPU and RAM looks good so far. I do have one question however. There is a section where you can define what to block and if you look you will see this in the 'custom' level setting:
I get blocking ActiveX and even User Agents but why on earth would DNS be listed in the IDS/IPS? What would enabling that setting do?

If you browse through that, you will also get the following options. It is useful for some certain groups of people in some situations.
@Clive_A I don't know what you mean by "browse through that" as I cannot find those more specific items you show in that screenshot - is there a place where you can edit threat categories?
