On my Mac mini i always can edit dns, no problem and works, but my media streamer Formular z10 does not accept static adres and only with static adres you can change dns.

With the Controller, DNS settings not assigned at the WAN port, but be custom set for each LAN subnet that you define. Go set custom DNS IP addresses under Site->Settings->Wired->LAN
