Hi all. Wondering if anybody can help me find a solution.

Premise: Wifi access to Smart TV (36 units) in classroom.

Details:

1. Funding is very limited. Currently i'm looking at two devices for this. EAP225-Outdoor or Deco X50-Outdoor. Both is priced below MYR500

2. From the 1st diagram, i'm planning to install the EAP225-Outdoor outside the classroom. Location 1 & 2 is wired by ethernet and Location 3 is connected by mesh to Location 2. All AP is on 2nd floor (refer to picture 2).

3. I have tested this same setup using Ruckus R500. All TV have good/decent signal and can play 4k youtube but during my testing, not all TV is on. I think only 12 TV at that time.

Can this theoretically work in real world deployment?

Thanks

  @edstevens It's hard to say.

The wireless coverage range of EAP225-outdoor is usually stronger than that of DecoX50-outdoor. However, in a school environment, wireless conditions tend to be more complex with higher levels of interference.
