Model: Archer C4000
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.0.6 Build 20231010 rel.6028(5553)

I tried to use parental control, and it successfully recorded all network activities. However, the device can still access the blocked content after I blocked them. I tried to restart both the computer and the router, cleaning the cache, but none of them worked. I also closed the Internet Access while that device can still access the internet. I have searched the internet and I found a lot of similar problems, such as [this](https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/157485), and [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/TpLink/comments/16bq0ea/parental_controls_internet_blocking_stopped/), while I can not find a solution. I have checked the update and it is the newest version.

Here is some more detailed screenshots:

In this case, I am wondering what should I do to make it work. If it can not work, is it possible to install a non-offical program on the router like [Open GFW](https://github.com/apernet/OpenGFW)?

Hi,

Verify that the device you've blocked is currently still using the same MAC address that it used at the time when you added it to the Parental Controls.

  @woozle Yes, I have verified many times, and tested on two different devices (with 2 different MAC addresses), one is Windows 11, and one is Chromebook.

  @eys Also, the history of the browsing is there, which means the MAC address is correct, but the blockade is not working.

  @eys

There are a couple more factors that could potentially affect the Parental Controls as well.

Check whether "Secure DNS" is activated in the web browser. In case it is, then switch it off and test again if the blocked websites can be still opened.

If your Internet Service Provider provides you with an IPv4 address and an IPv6 address and if "IPv6" is switched on in the settings of your C4000, then switch IPv6 off and test again if the blocked websites can be still opened.
