Model: TL-WR850N
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 3.16.0 0.9.1 v6040.0 Build 220727 Rel.42452n

My network setup is next:
• ASUS RT-AX52 as main router
• TL-WR850N as extender
• PC is connected to TL-WR850N via LAN cable (so basically it works as WiFi adapter).

The problem is that after rebooting TpLink it refuses to connect to ASUS WiFi network (does not appear in a list of connected devices) and forces me to do next steps:
• join TpLink control panel via 192.168.0.254
• open a page for connecting to other router and click "Save" (all settings are already there from previous session)
• couple seconds later my PC is connected to Internet, TpLink is now at 192.168.50.10 (manually set via ASUS DHCP server)

PC settings are all auto.
TpLink DHCP is in "Smart DHCP" mode.
ASUS DHCP is on (192.168.50.2 - 192.168.50.254 with TpLink manually set to 192.168.50.10, 86400 seconds lifetime)

The question is why it doesn't connect to ASUS WiFi network after reboot and how to fix it?

You could try setting the Asus wireless channels as static (not Auto) and see if there's any improvement.

If this was helpful click once on the arrow pointing upward. If this solves your issue, click once the star to mark it as a "Recommended Solution".
