Attachment not always present on email
I have moved from using Tapo cameras to Vigi cameras for doing surveillance as I needed the email with attachment feature. I need the email with attachment notification to integration with my armed response company. For some reason the email notifications gets sent, but 9 times out of 10 the attachment with the snapshot is not present. Why is that? I cannot use the cameras if it does not attach the snapshot to the email.
This is my email settings setup:
I thought that maybe the "Interval" setting had something to do with it in that the attachment will only be present for notifications say 30 seconds apart. But this is not the case as I have triggered it 5 minutes later and still the attachment is not present.

Hi @karnati8
Thanks for posting in our business forum.
Due to security reasons on Outlook and Gmail, you are likely to fail to send the snapshot in the alert email. Please try a different mail service.

@Clive_A Thank you for the response, I have tried using a different provider for SMTP like SendPulse, but it does the same. The majority of notification emails come through with no attachments. Random emails do contain the snapshot attachment. It would send two in a row with attachment and then about 10 with no attachment. It is strange that one does come through with the attachment now and then?
What is also strange is that one would think that whatever is blocking it won't strip the attachment from the email, but would block the whole email? So I'm thinking the issue is happening on the camera and does not have to do with something blocking it. Unless the camera has logic to try and send the email with attachment and then fails and then just sends the email without attachment?
I will try more SMTP providers but so far its not looking good.

Set the interval to a longer time.
I really suspect that it could trigger the email anti-spam system.

@Clive_A I increased the interval to longer, but with no improvement.
I have noticed that when the attachment comes through, there are always two email notifications for the same event. One email with the attachment and one without it. When the attachment doesn't come through, there is only one email and its the one without the attachment. So why is it sending two email notifications? If its always sending two emails by default, then you are on to something with the anti-spam idea as it would seem that the one with the attachment gets blocked along the way. I don't mind getting two emails, as long as one has the attachment.
Note: I'm not using an NVR, so no, the second email for the same event is not from the nvr. The text in the two emails are exact copies of each other, with the only difference that the one contains the attachment.

What's the email service you tried?
It should not be an email service based on Outlook(MS) or Google.
I need to discuss this with the dev to see if there is a problem.

@karnati8 I have a problem where I’m not receiving any email notifications at all, even without attachments. I have everything set up like you, the test email came through, but that’s it—I’m not receiving any alerts.

@karnati8 I would like to add my case as well.
I have 3 C230I cameras and one was sending me image attachment but now it doesnt not anymore.
Other two are sending attachments just fine . Interval and all settings are same on all of them but that one sends only email with regular text informing me about date, time and event but no image.

@karnati8 It is so strange that after I posted above my camera started to send me attachments...
I will check for few days but want to add that this interval doesnt makes difference because my other camera has detected fog as motion and sent me over 100 emails during the night and each of them had attached image but this camera that has issue can not send an email attachment when there are just few events during the day.

@MiroMiro This is the exact behaviour that I'm seeing as well. The attachment comes through randomly. Very frustrating.
