Model: SG2218P
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.20.0 Build 20230818 Rel.72032

Hello,

I'm struggling for weeks to setup VLAN with my SG2218P TP Link Switch. I read a lot of stuff and have been able to setup VLAN with another Netgear switch without issue and with a similar setup as described below) (same router).

My basic network scheme is attached to this post.

Basically, I have 2 devices behind the switch which should be member of VLAN 10 and VLAN 30.

Router and Switch are connected with Port in trunk mode (VLAN 1: untagged and VLAN 10 and VLAN 30 as tagged).

The devices connected to the Switch are connected in Access mode: VLAN 10: Untagged - PVID:10 /// VLAN 30: untagged - PVID:30.

Please refer to the attached Diagram for all details, including screenshots of the Switches settings page.

Despite this configuration, the Router (Synology RT6600AX) do not assign IP to the devices within the relevant VLAN.

If I remove the VLAN configuration (devices assigned to VLAN 1), the devices are issued correct IP addresses within VLAN 1.

I have of course rebooted both router and switch after each VLAN changes... no effect.

Thank you for any ideas you may have to solve the situation.

Kind regards,

Schoof

Hi @Schoof

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

This is the correct 802.1Q config on the switch.

You might wanna check if there is a VLAN interface on your router.

Thank you for your message and help.
I have eventually succeeded in getting an IP for the services. I had to unplug and reboot everything.

thanks again.
