OpenVPN Client DHCP reservation?

Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.2.5 Build 20240522 Rel.75860

I have OpenVPN set up on my router, and it is working well. My client devices can connect just fine, however one particular device (Actually an off-site Synology NAS) needs to have a static IP when connected to the VPN server.

I can't see any way of doing this in the NAS itself, nor inside the router settings. Ther DHCP reservations work perfectly for local clients, but the VPN client IPs don't even appear in the DHCP client list.

In my configuration, the LAN DHCP is set to give out 10.1.1.100 - 10.1.1.199, however the OpenVPN clients are getting 10.1.1.10 - 10.1.1.something.

The Synology NAS so far has been given two that I know of; 10.1.1.10 and 10.1.1.14.

Is it possible to do what I want here? (I.e give the NAS a DHCP reservation or static IP)?

Here's my configs:

OpenVPN:

Thank you in advance! :)

Hi @Memran

Thanks for posting in our business forum.
I believe OVPN cannot do that.

If you want it a static IP, you can use WireGuard which can be set to a static IP. Everything based on your WG is rather static than dynamic like the OVPN.

Slightly disappointing, because the Synology doesn't natively support WireGuard, but perhaps I can find a way to make it work. I'll still use OVPN for my other devices though, because it's really simple to use. Thanks!
