S200B in Home Assistant
S200B in Home Assistant
Hey, are there any plans to make the S200B buttons usable in home Assistant or Google Home (i.e. to execute a click)?
Otherwise I would switch to another system and sell my existing switches.

I went through the dubious of relying too much on TP-Link and the tapo brand, when I first added home assistant to my smart home.
I added Zigbee, coordinator and a router, 2 identical dongles with a different firmware flashed. Bought some buttons and temp sensors. Garbage.. constant disconnection. I have some WiFi issues in my home, only solved by a really good router. I've tried a few different coordinators, it just will not be reliable in my home. The sub, whatever it is network on the etapo hub and devices is rock solid. Phenomenal range. I now have enough tapo devices, both WiFi and on the hubs. All button presses are dealt with in the tapo app, device monitoring and turning off devices as required handled by home assistant. The hubs run automations locally and the matter integration on the hubs and some devices, can be used for faster automation in home assistant. It works. Would I prefer that I could link the hubs to home assistant and give it full control of the hub and connected devices - yes. But it does cover all my needs As a brand i have found that their top notch hardware is worth the trade off.
Like an ad lol. It's not, I just like my tapo stuff. If any device in my smart home causes me trouble, it's never (or at least so infrequently that I don't remember) a tapo device.
Native button pushes from HA would be cool though, so come on, make it happen!!
