I am trying to change the connnection preference on the Deco app for modems in my mesh network. Unfortunately, it fails to save every time I try. Any ideas how to get the Deco unit to save it's preferred connection parameter?
This may happen when you have mix of Deco units in your Deco mesh: some supporting Connection Preference feature and some not. For this feature to work, all Deco units must support it.
If you tell more about your Deco mesh: what Deco models it consists of, how many, their firmware versions - this info may help to assist you.
@Sybren First of all every Deco has to be supported this feature and also mixing Decos Old + New can'nt work with Device Connection Preference means if you set the Device to always connect on that specific Deco but after reboot the settings will revert back to default. But you can select the specific Deco unit to connect to that Deco units means Satellite Deco Unit 2 connect to Satellite Deco Unit 1 not the Main Deco for better signal strength.
