Lagg, Jitter and Packet Loss BE25 mesh

Hi,
I am experience packet loss, jitter and lagg in games. My house is set up with 3 DECO BE25 mesh nodes with the main node wired to a router acting as a modem. I have a coax cable connection. My PC is connected to one of the nodes via a wired connection but this node has worse connection to the main node than the other one. I can't use a wired connection to the main deco due to the location of the room. It seems like the connection is fast but times out for like 1 second only to continue to work. This doesn't help when you're gaming and all of a sudden you experience lagg. I don't know what is causing it. Please help
Best regards,
Lvdb

Hi, can I have the firmware version of your Deco BE25?
If it is not 1.0.17, please install the latest version to see whether it helps:https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/760106
Which games are you playing? Can you constantly reproduce this issue of "Lagg, Jitter and Packet Loss "?
By the way, how much network speed can you receive on the laptop?
Please also share some screenshots of the current network map on the Deco APP, such as:
Wait for your reply.
Best regards.

Hi,
Thank you for your reply.
I do have the latest firmware.
The lagg is pretty much every 30 seconds or so, maybe less where any game I play just freezes up for 1-2 seconds and then continues as normal. You can see it in this part of the test (red):
Packet loss occurs during this time. This happens in different games so it's not game specific. I am not sure about the network speed on the laptop but it is a fairly modern gaming laptop with at the time high end specs, maybe 3 years old.
I can't access everything right now as I am out of the house and the laptop is powered down but here is an overview from the app.
The laptop is connected directly with an ethernet cable to the node called Pc.
The main node is connected via an ethernet cable to a router that works as a modem with a coax cable to the main connection in the house.
Best regards,

At the same time, can I have the model number of your gaming laptop?
How much of your subscribed internet bandwidth?
Best regards.

Im having exact same issue! Using two BE25's in 68m2 apartment, no concrete walls etc between Deco's. I removed third because i thought my Deco located in office was switching between those two (main in bedroom, other was in living room), because apartment is quite small for three Deco's.
Im having this issue in every game, example in OSRS ping keeps jumping from 48ms all the way up to 2500ms. For some reason its worst in every afternoon between 5pm and 11pm.
My connection is 1gb fiber, and laptop connected directly to fiber modem doesn't have any problems. This started happening recently, i've been using these for 7 months or so. Downgraded firmware from 1.0.17 to 1.0.15 and it was better for a moment.

Hi, thank you for the feedback.
When the laptop is connected to Deco Mesh, is it connected to the satellite BE25 via an Ethernet cable or something else(like 6 GHz, for example)?
Did you set Deco BE25 into "Wireless Router" or "Access Point" mode?
Can you also save some screenshots that "ping keeps jumping from 48ms all the way up to 2500ms"?
I don't have any other suggestions now and would like to follow up on your case via email.
Please check whether you can receive my email later.
Best regards.

Hello and thanks for the quick reply David!
I have my gaming PC connected to satellite Deco via ethernet cable. I had my laptop connected straight to the fiber modem for testing purpose while problem were occuring and i was pinging google with some software called pingplotter simultaneously with gaming pc and laptop. I tested because i was 99% sure that problem is on ISP side, but i dont know anymore. Im using Deco's in Router Mode, i have tried Access Point mode but it fails to find DHCP server on PC, i could get Apple TV and iPhone to connect after little work.
When ingame ping started to get high spikes, everything was okay on laptop side (remember, connected straight to the fiber modem), but not on gaming PC that is used via Deco system. This have been happening daily for a couple of weeks, what is strange it usually goes worse on 5pm (finnish time) like i earlier mentioned and lasts for hours, resetting modem and deco's doesn't help (atleast for long). Also everything like streams, etc may became unstable, but usually spikes are so quick that it doesn't cause too much problems with those. Ping to google by pingplotter was fine on laptop side, something like 20ms average, 25ms maximum, while it had almost 5000ms spikes on gaming pc at the same time.
PC is normal selfbuilt R5 7600X, 32GB DDR5, Intel Arc B580, Asus Prime B650M-A Wifi II with integrated 2.5GbE Realtek network adapter .
I took two screenshots of my ping for friends (because i died on my group ironman because of lagging, as funny as it sounds), let me know if you want more screenshots or test results from specific game or software.
Can it have anything to do with ISP? My fiber is built by GlobalConnect and i previously had Kaisanet as ISP, but 2nd day of this month GlobalConnect became as ISP also, i havent faced issues this bad when i had Kaisanet if i remember correct. Like could Deco system be against some of their port, routing, etc rules, CGNAT or something like that?
Thank you!

Hi, thanks a lot for the further update. The extra details would be very helpful.
Could Deco system be against some of their port, routing, etc rules, CGNAT or something like that?
I'll escalate your case to the senior engineers. I'm afraid we might need to leave the question to them. Please check the email later for more suggestions. Best regards.
