Firmware Version:

Can somebody tell my why VLAN settings are inconsistent across omada lineup? Take a look at this example:
When i click port on a gateway (
ER7212PC):

When i click port on a switch (
SG2210P ):

When i click on EAP (EAP615 Wall)

Also - why i cannot remove PVID from a port? I've got a workaround by creating "empty" vlan 1500 that i could block with ACLs or something, but i don't think that's an answer.

I understand that it has to be idiot-resistant, but please just let me brick my device, i can handle it.

Settings for switches seems to be the best - you create a profile for a port and then you can add to it, edit itp etc.
The most annoying thing is the EAP configuration - for the love of god i cannot use trunk ports on EAP ports, i understand that in a typical office 3x untagged port is enough but i think i should be able to just use normal trunk/profile on that port.

Are there plans to create consistant config across lineup of devices from one manufacturer running (guess) mostly the same soft?

Hi  @Xariyx

Thanks for posting here.

In terms of wired connectivity, the functions of EAP and gateway and switches differ, and typically, EAP and gateway have fewer features than switches.

Therefore, their configuration options are different.

To clear the PVID settings for an EAP port, you can change it back to the default VLAN ID, by default it's 1.

  @Vincent-TP

after upgrading software to 1.5.0 on EAP i can manually add tagged/untagged interfaces to ports - its still inconsistent, but at least i can use VLANs.

I believe specs do not allow this. Using devices from various vendors, Netgear, Cisco, Zyxel, TP-Link, I haven't seen a device that allows removing PVID from a port with 802.1q enabled on the device.
