After power outages the Deco will not connect to the internet for days at a time. I have tried restarting the internet NBN modem and Deco in every combination I can come up with.  And since ot won't connect to the internet, it also won't change some of the settings like router/AP and will not backup settings.  I have no interest in fully resetting and having to set up wifi networks and static IP addresses etc again in the hope that works, last time it seemed to made no difference anyway, we have too many power outages or reasons to switch our power off temporarily for that sort of muck around.

Not sure what to do next except return this stupid thing which actually works great when it's working, but spending hours troubleshooting or without internet for my business every week or two is too much.

 

Hoping for some steps that can permanently solve the problem.

Hi, can I have the current firmware version of your Deco BE65?

 

Did the same issue repeat after switching the Ethernet port?

-If yes, it would be highly appreciated if you could refer to this link to save a copy of the web UI system log when Deco BE65 was solid red again: Deco web interface login

 

Can you please check the current network topology of your current Deco, such as:

NBN modem----main Deco BE65----?

-Would there be any other Ethernet Clients connected to the Ethernet port of the main Deco 65?

Extra info. Deco boots up and displays red light. Deco app says Cant gonnect to Deco Deco is in Router mode. 5 deco units in system, have turned off all but main deco.

EDIT.... The problem still occurs but I just found an ethernet cable in the wrong port which seems to have fixed the problem for today. Please excuse my frustration with this thing for now.
