Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.3.0 Build 20250410 Rel.38015

Claro's LINK on WAN1 or WAN2 only works at the lowest speed. NIO's link works perfectly on any port. ER605 V2 bug?

I'm facing a very strange problem with my ER605 V2 router with firmware 2.3.0 Build 20250410 Rel.38015.

The Claro operator's internet link is not responding nominally at its speed. I tested both on WAN1 and WAN2. And the speeds are those shown in the image.

I change the cable on the operator's router and the speed works normally. After about an hour, the speed drops a lot, as in the image above. For me, this is a bug in the ER605 V2 router.

Another test I performed was to connect the link directly to a notebook and the problem does not occur. It is clearly something with the ER605 V2 router.

I tested everything. I had another router from the operator that I couldn't configure DNS on because editing is blocked. This anomaly didn't occur on this one.

Can TP-Link validate this for a fix?

  @Artur.Aragao Sorry to be late

 I had exactly the same problem in my network, same model same version

We manage a Hospital, after the upgrade the firmware to version ER605(UN)_V2_2.3.0 Build 20250428 we upgraded Omada to version 5.15.24.18

After the upgrade, day after day the internet connection was stuggling more and more, sometimes it got unusable.

Was very difficult to track it down, because only websites, and not all time got this behavior.

VNC, SSH, TV, services, videos etc worked normally, only websites.

I had to do a full roll-back twice to the firmware ER605(UN)_V2_2.2.6 Build 20240718, and revert to Omada 5.14.32, now its working "normally".

(Because it has a bug for years never got fixed from TP-Link)

I'm very disappointed with TP-Link to drop buggy firmware and software to us

It caused a lot of headshake.

  @Artur.Aragao

Please use:

Or consider setting up the policy routing so that you can define the traffic to go out from one WAN instead of balanced between the lines.

I've looked at everything, but I don't see how this can help me.

Thanks.

  @drigo

Hey!

Did you also have a problem with the link indicating a nominal value higher than what is actually being transmitted?

This did not happen before and it is really complicated.

If I connect the device to talk directly to the carrier's router, the speed in the speedtest is the nominal contracted speed.

If I connect it to both ports of the ER605 V2 router, the additional link that I contracted of 350MBps for download is shown as 56Mbps, and for upload 150Mbps 1.5Mbps to 1.8Mbps.

Did this happen to you too?

What method did you use to revert? I tried to revert to 2.2.6 and was unable to do so. I hope that TP-Link resolves this problem, as it did not exist before.

Very grateful for your contribution.

God bless you.

I want to believe that TP-Link will improve the product. I bought it almost a year ago and I think this environment is incredible. I almost went for Unifi, because I had experience before, but my budget didn't cover it. Today, when I go through these difficulties, I start to wonder if I made the wrong decision, but then I remember that problems happen to all companies in general. And what determines whether we are being well-assisted by one or another is when the response to the difficulties is pre-announced in notices about the availability of new firmwares that solve the problem or a quick response with the release of these firmwares. I believe that TP-Link will not disappoint us.

Go to the official website, and you can refer to all the models' specs. In short, pure gateways, starting with the ER7206.

  @Artur.Aragao

Hi Artur, funny thing, we are both Brazilians talking in english

I think I do not have exactly the same problem of yours, because I have many streams working on the Hospital and everything worked normally.

The problem was primary navigating in the Web and the second ISP stopped to work in Omada too, it barely responded the web requisitions.

To roll back I used this guide

How to Roll Back Firmware on Omada Router - Business Community

About you wonder if TP-Link hear us, I think not, I had a problem by years never fixed (thread below), but they doing an excellent job

and I think every environment have their own problems

ER605 V1 with Omada doest not work properly with Linux/HUAWEI Router - Business Community

Muito grato por suas colocações. Eu considero que o melhor caminho, se o investimento não é tão atual, seja o upgrade para um produto mais robusto. Fiz estas colocações, sem olhar ainda o seu post.
