Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.2.14 20241223

I have around twelve Sonos speakers on my network and see all of them in the list of Clients as "SonosZP".

 

I'd like to rename them (it doesn't matter why - it's to do with Home Assistant and polling and ports) ... but ...

 

I go to the client in the iPadOS or iOS app ... tap the name to rename.  Change to a new name and hit save, and every time get "Failed to save the information.  Please try again later"

 

I'm running the latest firmware on all Deco units and the latest app, on the latest iOS.

 

Any suggestions?

And would it be possible for you to attach a short video clip with the App log?

By the way, have you also tried to change the device name when the mobile phone is connected to the mobile data, instead of the Deco WiFi?

  @marky_uk hiya!  Thank you.  I tried on mobile only and it's the same problem.  I've submitted the log and a short video just now :-)

  @David-TP I'm also facing the same issue my connected clients devices name are back to default after every few hours and i got the notification of Deco App XXXX device is connected to Deco because the already connected devices change their name to back to default and also Address Reservation back to default even my already setup client gone from Address Reservation because i changed the name in Deco App.....What is this behaviour TP-LINK 🙄

This is my HikVision DVR and i gave this a static ip from Address Reservation but the device gone from Address Reservation and changed it's name back to default.
