The controller notifications about new firmware are great but need a little tunning I guess. I have two disconnected EAP615-Wall and the update available popup shows persistenly every other day or so. It should not notify about updates of disconnected devices because no update can be applied in that case at all.
On a larger setup it is probably gonna be annoying to the extreme to have notifications about not currently actionable updates.

Did you consider Forget those disconnected devices directly?

I disagree,

if the devices are not removed from the controller then they are in use even if they are turned off, I have several devices in the lab that are turned off a lot but I will update these when an update comes out. There should also be an option to not show this message again for those who do not want to see the message multiple times.

  @MR.S Of course it has to show up when you reconnect them again.. or maybe an option to "update automatically when reconnected" but that will too have its perils.
