Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.3.0 Build 20250428 Rel.18967

Hi all,

I recently added my tp-link er605 v2 to Omada Cloud to have the notifications from the mobile app, I then discovered the GUI is no more available and I cannot perform settings backup as before, I would like to come back to standalone mode, is there a way to revert to it without losing the configuration?

Regards

  @Harlock

If you want to go back to stand alone, you have to configure everything again, you have to delete the router from the Omada controllers and the router will be reset to default.

No, you cannot migrate from controller to stand alone, nor can you migrate from stand alone to controller mode, they are two completely different systems.

  @MR.S

thanks for the fast reply, so there is no way to maintain the settings, if I forgget the device from Omada Cloud it will also reset the ER605 to factory defaults, have I correctly understand?

is there a way to save the settings and restore them?

  @MR.S

ok, I have a backup of the configuration saved in bin format, have I just need to choose forget in omada cloud in order to come back to standalone mode or is there another step to apply?

You must forget the router from the controller otherwise it will automatically adopt again, when you press forget the router will be reset to default.
