How to see Firmware Version of Upgrade before installing?

Hi all. Is there a way to see the version of the firmware upgrade before I install it? It looks like the firmware upgrade name is just a date and the model number. I just bought this router and I can see the current version is 0.9.1 4.19 v0348.0 Build 231119 Rel.69901n. The latest version must have a similar name, not just the model and date? I have downloaded it but I'd like to know what its version number is.
Thanks.

Hi,
It looks like the version numbers of the available firmware files are the same ("0.9.1_4.19").
The "rel" numbers of firmware for TP-Link routers appear to be random from a user's point of view. (i.e. a higher "rel" number doesn't mean better or newer)
So, you can only tell by the "build" numbers (YYMMDD) which firmware is newer.

Just to confirm, it looks like there is no way to see new firmware version numbers (or maybe they're not named that way anymore), and we have to go by the release date, only?
Thanks.

Yes, newer build date means newer firmware in this case.
I looks like the firmware version numbering is somewhat special for this particular router model. For other models TP-Link does increase the version number for each new version of the firmware.
