Omada Controller OC220

Just got my hands on an OC220, and want to migrate from the OC200.
Problem is that the firmware on the OC220 (1.0.5 Build 20250423 Rel.62522) isn´t compatible with the one I currently have on my OC200 (1.36.6 Build 20250613 Rel.68989 (Beta)).
Do you have any idea when there will be a new firmware available for the OC220?

@Vincent-TP Thanks for your reply, Vincent.
I tried downgrading the OC200, but got a warning that all settings would be deleted. So I didn´t push through.
Do I need an old backup of the config if I downgrade the OC200? So downgrade, then restore settings from backup?
And, if you could help me here. I got the following warning "For controller v5.13.11.41 and above, only the configuration file from the controller with the same first-three-part version number (Major.Minor.Patch) can be imported."
What would be the correct firmware be for the OC200 to match the OC220 with 1.0.5 Build 20250423 Rel.62522. Admittedly I know I should be able to figure this out myself, but with a record breaking heat wave, and chaos at work, any push in the correct direction would be most appreciated.

Hi @Geiren
We don't have the ETA of OC220's next firmware. Please keep an eye on the official website, or subscribe this post:

To migrate OC200 to the OC220, you may downgrade the OC200 to the same version as OC220's first, then refer to the following guide:

Hi @Geiren
Thanks for the reply.
Yes, downgrading from 5.15.24 to 5.15.20 will lose the settings. If there isn't too much configuration, you may downgrade and reconfigure everything from scratch.
Or wait for the firmware update for the OC220.
Sorry for the confusion before.

Any word on the OC220 Firmware yet ? We got one delivered today(V1.6) but when trying to copy the settings it said the oc220 controller firmware was too old and wouldn't do it for us either. We have several vlans, maybe 40-45 DHCP reservations, several wlans, dual wan with failover, 6 APs..... and don't want to start over. Thought upgrading hardware within omada would be just a few clicks. Is the oc220 not officially released or supported yet ? Bought it on TP link's own site with a discount code after saw an ad for it. As of now we can't use it.

Hi @Rob_F94
We don't have a plan to release a separate firmware for OC220 to adapt to Omada controller 5.15.24.
I believe the next release will be adapted to Omada V6, along with other hardware controllers, such as OC300.

So until that time anyone buying the OC220 can't use it for a direct upgrade and it can only be used for new sites ? If they would have mentioned that we wouldn't have bought it yet. Don't to start from 0 and put our network down for some time when everything is already configured and working.

@Rob_F94 Only conclusion here is; DON´T BUY until TP-Link fixes this. Or, buy Ubiquiti
