Disappearing VPN Policies and Users

Our OpenVPN policies have disappeared from the Omada Controller, as well as the users based on those policies.
The VPN is still functioning, and users can connect. However, I cannot see any of the policies to administer or add/edit users.
Currently, I am unsure whether the issue lies with the gateway or the controller; however, it is mission-critical for us.
Please provide a solution or generate a ticket.

Please upgrade your firmware from the controller, which can check your firmware online.

Hi @mmansion,
almost the same happened to me on ER605 V2 with firmware 2.2.6 and controller version 5.15.8.2 - OpenVPN config had disappeared from controller and users were there but unassigned.
The config on router was fully functional.
There is no possibility to get the config back from router as the controller is the single point of truth (provisioning goes always and only from controller to devices)

Hi @ZoloNN,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this. I’m sorry to hear that you experienced similar issues. I recently upgraded from the ER605.
Since the controller is the source of truth and the gateway cannot push data to it, I don't expect a firmware update for the hardware to resolve the problem as @Clive_A suggested.
Fortunately, I just discovered a backup of my controller config, and was able to restore the VPN policies!
Moving forward, I will definitely be more proactive about backing up my data.I'll certainly be more aggressive with backing up going forward.
