Release Notes

 

Version Info:

 

Firmware for DR3650v(EU) V1.0. This firmware is fully adapted to Omada Controller V5.15.20.X.
Minimum FW Version for Update: 1.0.0 Build 20241030 Rel.36922 and above.
Please note that you will NOT be able to downgrade to previous official firmware after upgrading to this firmware!

 

New Features:

1. SD-WAN
2. Domain name supported for OpenVPN and Wireguard VPN
3. Virtual WAN
4. Disable NAT
5. Google LDAP
6. LAN DNS
7. FQDN/Wildcards in ACL

8. Content Filter

 

Enhancements:

1. Optimized CPU utilization.
2. Optimized the time to enable the backup link.
3. Optimized booting time.
4. Optimized the time to dial up the WAN link.
5. Optimized the time to upgrade FW.
6. Optimized the time to generate the OpenVPN profile.

9. Adapted to the new Omada VI.
10. Added LAN & WAN conflict resolution, logs are now reported when conflicts are detected.
11. RED certification – address four findings:
   a) Enforce strong passwords for web login.
   b) Updated the software signing algorithm to a more secure one.
   c) Disable production-test services in factory mode.
   d) Log any change to privacy assets stored on the device.

 

Bug Fixed:

1. Fixed the HTTPS redirection exception in standalone mode.
2. Fixed the issue where the static route for L2TP VPN doesn’t take effect after re-enabling L2TP VPN.
3. Fixed the WOL exception when dropping some unknown unicast packets.
4. Fixed the issue where the PPTP VPN would occasionally disconnect.

5. Fixed the issue where user couldn’t choose SSID and LAN Network when configuring URL Filter.

6. Fixed security vulnerabilities:
   a) Injection flaw in DNS proxy_security.
   b) Injection flaw in sysauth.
   c) Injection flaw in WireGuard VPN.
   d) Remove hidden root-SSH capability in CLI_server binary.
   e) Eliminate legacy ecsp v1 code.
   f) Add hash-value verification to device-controller communication to prevent bypassing the integrity check.
   g) Prevent TLS hijacking via local-controller certificate.
7. Resolved functional issues:
   a) Fixed the issue that the DHCP address pool exhaustion in specific scenarios did not trigger log reporting.
   b) Fixed the issue that the L2TP server process occasionally crashed.
   c) Fixed the issue that IPS abnormally exited and generated coredump files, causing memory exhaustion.
   d) Fixed the issue that static route entries whose name field contained special characters failed to take effect.
   e) Fixed the issue that iOS clients occasionally caused address-pool leaks when connecting to the L2TP server.

Notes:

(1) The above firmware applies to the described models.

(2) Your device’s configuration won’t be lost after upgrading.

(3) If you have disabled the HTTPS port, please enable the HTTPS port before upgrading the firmware.

(4) Please note that you will not be able to downgrade to the previous official firmware after upgrading to this firmware!
