Thanks for pushing the idea, i like and vote for it.
Here is my scenario :

The alarm event, or even notification event, seems so obvious to me that i didn't check before buying the smart button wether it was possible or not. I discover it is not possible ... So i search how to use the button as a mechanism to activate the alarm when the last person is leaving the house, and activate it when one is coming back.
The only way i found is to have the alarm always on and activate or deactivate with the button the confidential mode. Which is frustrating since when we are at home the camera is no more capuring any movement around the house which could be useful if any event happened that need to get some record ....
It seems so obvious to me .... why not having this ?

i found that when you can configure automatically your camera with one global setup for 2 different modes : "Home mode" and "Leave mode". I don't have the exact words in english since my user interface is in french, but it should look like this : Home and Leave.

With each mode you can in one press configre the detection modes you manage (persopn, movement, animal, ...), the alarm (active or not), the notification and the confidential state (on/off).

This mean that the app has the ability to address the status of the alarm, on or off, among others tasks by using one action from the app.

I guess it should noytbe difficult to add the alarm status as a new trigger in the automation list of tasks enabled for the camera.
