Gentlemen, good night.

I have an ER605 connected to two internet connections (WAN and WAN/LAN1) using load balance and, the gateway is so good that I only know one link is down when the provider calls me, lol.

Can I configure some email notification (or any other) besides SNMP when one WAN goes down? I am using the native web console for management.

Isn't it the reason why a load-balancing router exists?

It makes you feel nothing when one of the WANs is down and your service is uninterrupted.

smiley No offense.

You can set up the controller and from there, you have the option to fine-tune the log. In the log, you can send certain types of logs to the emails you set up.

@Clive_A that's exactly my point, the gateway is so effective, than I only know one link is down if the provider tells me or if I manually check it, lol, but I need to know when I am operating without redundancy.

Thanks for your links, but, as I said, I use web console, not Omada Controller.

No controller, no emails.

That has been explained in the second link.

Standalone is not cloud-based and interlinked. The router itself does not send the logs by email.

@Clive_A thanks, is there any free cloud based SNMP tool you recommend?

Otherwise I think I'll have to build a cloud server and install Omada Controller. For this scenario, can I use both web portal and controller at same time?

I remember when moved to Omada Cloud, it was not possible and I got to roll back, resetting the gateway to factory default.

I am not able to make a recommendation on the products or software.

When it is adopted by the controller, the web access is blocked.

Adopt will erase the current settings. Forget it from the controller does the same.

@Clive_A ok, got it, so help me out here, please, as I've found an SNMP cloud-based solution, but am not succeeding on connect to it. Which type of password for SNMPv3 is used by ER605 from the below? None, MD5 or SHA didnt work... First picture from platform and second from Omada:
