MAC-Based Authentication does not work with WPA-Personal

Good day. We use MAB authorization to connect wireless clients (cash registers). We found an article on how to configure MAC-Based Authentication with a password on a wireless network.
https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/4305/
After performing the same settings, we found that requests from the access point to the radius server are not received. The dumps are also empty. The scheme starts working only if the network is open. Please tell me, is this how it should be?

Hi @Gidro76
Please strictly refer to the FAQ, especially the following step:
The Radius server is on a different network, please make sure the EAP and controller can access the server.
You may configure with Built-in RADIUS of Omada Controller to have a comparision test:

Hi @Gidro76
Thanks for posting here.
What's the model number of the EAP you are using?
Is the RADIUS server installed in the same network?
The scheme starts working only if the network is open.
>>>Do you mean when SSID set to open, everything will work?
Please share the screenshots of the config page mentioned in the FAQ.

The Radius server is accessible and responds to requests only if the network does not have any type of security (screenshot). If you set a password, then requests to the Radius server are not sent and clients connect without authorization by MAC address, but by password
The Radius server is available and responds to requests only if the network does not have any type of security (screenshot). If you set a password, then requests to the radius server are not sent and clients connect without authorization by MAC address, but by password
And it does not matter whether the network is added to the list of networks with MAC-Based Authentication. If the network has a password, then TP-Link does not use the radius server but uses the password to connect clients

The built-in radius server also does not work, authorization does not occur and the connection occurs using a password from the network and not through radius. We intercepted packets and there is no request to the radius server.
