Dear All,

Have the following challenge - any activity unsuccessful so far.

At Administrator: Pls. do not hesitate to move this to the appropriate group if wrong here.

Setup is as follows (see also screenshot):

  1. Router TP Link ER8411
  2. Switches as displayed
  3. Omada controller version 5.15.24.18

Want to setup a dedicated network for VoIP and have followed the manuals and hints to create a VoIP-VLAN.

Have created a specific VLAN and have assigned it to the SFP/WAN3 port exclusively. Where my configuration attempts do come to stop is when I try to assign the VLAN to a Voice Network in the Switch Profile. The option to make the new VLAN a voice network is simply greyed out, also all other options are not editable.

I, however, can make any of my other VLANs a voice network.

Did I overlook something?

Thanks!

Br's Thomas

Thank you for your post. The issue arises because the VLAN interface you created under “Networks” for the Omada gateway is bound to the gateway itself; it cannot be used on the switches. Only VLANs themselves can be applied directly to the switches. Moreover, the automatically generated VLAN profile defaults to an untagged network and cannot be modified. You need to click “Create New Port Profile” in the upper-right corner and create a new profile—only then can you freely add custom tagged or untagged networks. Perhaps the following configuration FAQ will be of help; please take a look. How to configure Auto-VoIP on Omada Switches via Omada Controller
