Archer AX11000 v1.0 upgrade to 2.2.1 Build 20250725 rel.9119(5553)
Hi ,
I've just upgraded to firmware 2.2.1Build 20250725 rel.9119(5553) and now when I use my VPN to connect to our data center I can't copy any files from any of the serves to my local PC. This would normally work fine, I would connect to the VPN and then use Windows explorer to connect to teh URI can copy a file to my local PC.
Now the copy fails to start and all network activity stops .
The only thing changed is the Router firmware version.
Where can I get a list of firmware versions to rollback to . This page https://www.tp-link.com/au/support/download/archer-ax11000/#Firmware only shows firmware up to Archer AX11000(US)_V1_1.3.4 Build 20230906 for V1 .
If my hardware version is v1.0 why did the Check for updates button load 2.2.1 Build 20250725 rel.9119(5553) . Is it fine to use this firmware?

@Jcox2684 , the beta firmware is for Archer AX11000 V1. Your router's hardware version is v2.
We need more details about your case to locate the cause of the anomaly. Please let me know: If the VPN is malfunctioning, what specific aspect is causing it? For example, is it unable to resolve DNS correctly?

Dear TP-Link Support Team,
I would like to report a reproducible bug on the Archer AX11000 (us) V1.0, related to the DHCP client in the 2.x firmware branch, specifically when the device is configured in Access Point (AP) mode.
🔧 Device Details
-
Model: Archer AX11000 (US)
-
Hardware Version: V1.0
-
Affected Firmware: 2.2.1 Build 20250725
-
Stable Firmware (no issue): 1.3.4 Build 20230906
-
Operating Mode: Access Point (AP), LAN DHCP disabled
-
DHCP Server: ISP ONT (working correctly)
❗ Problem Description
Even though the DHCP server correctly assigns a lease time of 86400 seconds (24 hours), the router incorrectly enters the DHCP renewal state every 30–40 seconds.
The following log entries are repeatedly observed:
DHCPC INFO receive ack from server with ip 192.168.1.x, lease=86400 DHCPC INFO send select request DHCPC INFO 1/2 lease passed, enter renewing state
This behavior occurs far before half of the lease time has elapsed, which is technically incorrect according to standard DHCP T1/T2 timing.
🧪 Observed Behavior
-
The
DHCPCprocess continues running even in AP mode -
DHCP renewals occur continuously
-
This causes noticeable micro-disconnections, especially on mobile devices (Wi-Fi shows “connected without internet”)
-
The issue does not occur when a client connects directly to the DHCP server (ONT)
✅ Tests Performed
-
ISP replaced the ONT (issue persists)
-
LAN DHCP disabled
-
AP mode enabled
-
Verified correct lease assignment from the DHCP server
-
The issue disappears when:
-
Using LAN-to-LAN connection (WAN port not used), or
-
Downgrading to firmware 1.3.4 Build 20230906
-
🧠 Technical Conclusion
All evidence suggests that:
-
The WAN DHCP client is not properly disabled in AP mode in firmware branch 2.x
-
There is an error in the DHCP lease timer handling (T1/T2)
-
The issue is not related to the ISP or DHCP server
