Model: VIGI C340-W
Hardware Version: V20
Firmware Version:

Hi,

I would like to ask whether the VIGI C340W camera model currently supports uploading video footage to an FTP server when an event is triggered.

From what I can see, some models allow uploading a single snapshot image, but this is often not sufficient in practice. For example, if an event is triggered by motion detection, only having one still image may not capture the full sequence of what happened. Uploading short video clips via FTP would be much more useful in these cases.

Could you confirm if this feature is already supported on the C340W, and if not, whether it may be included in a future firmware release?

I know there are alternatives such as using a VIGI NVR or cloud storage, but FTP upload to a local or remote server would be a practical and cost-effective solution in many business or home setups where bandwidth, availability, or budget may be limiting factors.

Thank you for your time and clarification.

Thank you for your post. At present, using FTP to transfer video on wireless and 4G models may be affected by environmental interference, which can lead to packet loss and other issues. There is currently no plan to support this feature on wireless models.
