Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

Hi Guys,

I have a problem with vLans, again.

I buy a print. Instal in a default Vlan with 192.168.1.50 IP

I have my phone in Vlan 2 (Fmain) with 192.168.2.XX - When try print some documment dont find print.
When connect to wireless in Vlan 1(Fadm) eith 192.168.1.XX print appears and can print (same problem with my windows PC)

I set up mDNS and ACL rules (gateway and switch), to open all trafic between vlans but cant work. See rules above. I opened all traffic and not specific ports or IPs to make sure I wasn't making any configuration mistakes.
I search all over internet and cant find solution.

Any idea ?

Thanks

Thank you for your post. Please confirm whether your firmware is the latest version; if not, upgrade to the newest firmware. Additionally, try pinging the printer’s IP address from your phone or PC to verify that the printer is reachable. You may also need to check the printer’s settings to see if any adjustments are required so it can be discovered across VLANs—some printers only broadcast within their local subnet.

By default, your gateway allows inter-VLAN routing and you don't need the ACL rules for the gateway or the switches.  You can always add them later as necessary.  The mDNS configuration looks OK.  I have never used AirPrint on my iPhone but I decided it was time to configure and test it.  My iPhone is on a different VLAN from the printer.  It works OK after configuring the mDNS rule for "Printers".

You do need to ensure your printer supports Bonjour services and has Bonjour enabled.

All my devices are update:

All services are enable in my print

If ping from my phone, the ping is successful.
If use my wife iphone it discover printer on 192.168.2.XX

In my windows pc dont do automactic discover in lan but if i search by ip it found printer and works good.
At the moment the only problem crossing the vlan is my android phone.
I also have other smart home devices that have the same problem, they are not visible between vlans and I wanted to try to understand if solving this problem would lead me to solving this problem as well.

These prints are from my phone

In default vlan 1 - 192.168.1.XX - Print appears and can print

In vlan 2 - 192.168.2.XX - Print dont appears and cant print

According to information found on the internet, older Android devices do not support mDNS.  How old is your phone?  If you post your phone's make and model, perhaps other forum members can help you.  I don't use Android devices here.

Its a Samsung Galaxy A53 5G https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_a53_5g-11268.php Could my phone be the problem? It's the only device that doesn't work, but it's not that old. It has the latest Android version available, so it doesn't make much sense that it doesn't support mDNS.

You can try adjusting the settings on your phone to see if that resolves the issue, or contact your phone’s support team for assistance with this situation.
