Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.3.0

Recently upgraded firmware to 2.3.0. Multiple issues of devices communicating across VLANs, but one has been confirmed to be UPnP not working correctly. UPnP is enabled with the same listed networks as pre-upgrade. I have tried deleting/disabling and re-creating the UPnP settings and that did not fix it. Using a UPnP listened app on my mobile confirms that devices/services are not being seen across VLANs.

Thank you for your post. Could you please clarify whether all UPnP-capable devices are no longer discoverable across VLANs, or only some specific devices exhibit this issue?
Can you confirm that these devices worked correctly before the firmware upgrade and only started failing after the upgrade?Additionally, please let us know which exact devices and services are not working. As a quick test, try rebooting the router as well as the affected UPnP devices. Also double-check that you have properly selected the interfaces (LAN networks) and the corresponding WAN interface in the UPnP configuration page. Finally, verify whether any ACL rules you have configured might be inadvertently blocking traffic required by UPnP.

All.

Can you confirm that these devices worked correctly before the firmware upgrade and only started failing after the upgrade?

Yes. Issues started after upgrade.

Additionally, please let us know which exact devices and services are not working.

The specific devices/services not working are Heos and Google TV devices.

As a quick test, try rebooting the router as well as the affected UPnP devices.

This has been tried many times.

Also double-check that you have properly selected the interfaces (LAN networks) and the corresponding WAN interface in the UPnP configuration page.

The UPnP configuration is unchanged pre- and post-upgrade.

Finally, verify whether any ACL rules you have configured might be inadvertently blocking traffic required by UPnP.

The ACL configurations are unchanged pre- and post-upgrade.

Please reconfirm whether these devices can still be pinged across VLANs, and whether they function and are discoverable normally when placed in the same VLAN.
We may follow up via email later so you can send us your configuration file for local testing. Additionally, please describe your network topology—are there any switches or other devices involved? If so, do they have any special settings?

Yes, I can ping the devices from other VLANs, specifically the other VLAN that should be able to connect via UPnP settings.

and whether they function and are discoverable normally when placed in the same VLAN.

Yes, UPnP works normally when devices are within the same VLAN.

We may follow up via email later so you can send us your configuration file for local testing. Additionally, please describe your network topology—are there any switches or other devices involved?

ER605v2 Gateway connects to TL-SG2210MP which has 3 APs (EAP615 wall; 2x EAP670) and 2x SG2008 switches. The UPnP devices are connected to either the EAPs or the SG2008s.

If so, do they have any special settings?

Not sure what would qualify as a special settings. But again, this all worked fine before upgrading to 2.3.0, so probably not.
