Model: TL-SG108PE
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 5.0_20230218_up

Today I've received my three TL-SG108PE, hardware version v5. First if downloaded the latest firmware "TL-SG108PE(UN) 5.0_20230218.zip" to bring all devices to it's latest firmware release.

To update the firmware I did the following:

- navigate to each of the corresponding Web interfaces
- hopped to "System > Firmware Upgrade"
- performing the necessary reboot of each switch to and
- uploaded the "TL-SG108PE(UN) 5.0_20230218_up.bin"
- waited for the switch to reboot after firmware updated

Two switches work as expected after the firmware updated but the third one is, regarding the WebUI, inaccessible. After entering credentials and pressing the Enter key the following content comes up:

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the web.

Clients connected to the switch are working as they should, PoE is working as expected only the Web interface doesn't work.

What I've tried so far is:

1. Power cycling the switch; issue persists
2. make switch powerless for about 20 minutes and retry ; issue persists
3. Resetting the switch (pressed reset button for about 8 seconds; issue persists
3.1 Changed default password, again but at the stage of applying the updated password before mentioned "The connection was reset" info reappears

Does anybody know how to make the WebUI work again?

Thanks in advance

There is an Easy Smart Configuration Utility which you can download from the TP-Link website.  I would try that to see what happens.  If the utility lets you access the switch, you might be able to reload the firmware.

Thank you for your post. We recommend trying a different device or a different browser to access the Web GUI. Please confirm that your PC can successfully ping the switch during the process, as a proper connection is required to reach the Web GUI. As mentioned, you can also check whether the Easy Smart Utility is able to manage the device. If the issue persists, it may indicate a hardware problem, and I suggest replacing the unit.

@jra11500 Thanks for answering. Since the Easy Smart Configuration Utility is purely Windows software, I hoped I wouldn't need it, as I run a purely Linux infrastructure. However, if this is my only hope, I'll just have to bite the bullet.
