Hi,

Is there any research&development on Vibration sensors from Tapo? It would be a useful Smart Home IoT device!

Let me know if there's any development in this area, also release date/ date to expect, etc..

Thanks a lot!

Tapo doesn't have this kind of product so far. To learn about new product releases, you may follow TP-Link official website.

To gather more opinions from other users, your post has been moved to the Feature Request block and added the 'New Product Idea' tag.

Can you share what you want to do with this kind of problem? Our product team will review the feature requests regularly, hot topics with detailed background information (e.g., use scenarios, reasons why you want or don't want a particular feature, etc) will be prioritized for evaluation.

Hello,

My idea is to use a vibration sensor for the washing machine / dryer. Automation would look something like: trigger: when it's turned on for at least 0,5 min of vibrating. If vibration stops for more than 3 mins, it sends a notification to my phone saying Washing machine or Dryer finished.

I know there's a Beta version for energy monitoring smart plug for similar action, but that is a bit different and actually turns off the machine - which I don't want.

Thanks,

Geri
