Hi  @Oliv2831

You may have a look at the following configuration guide:

How to Shut Down the Switch Port Connected to an EAP to Prevent Intrusion via 802.1X Authentication?

Oliv2831 wrote

In Release notes, I can read 802.1X being mentioned several times.

May I ask, if the following 802.1X feature is supported in 6.1 as I can't test it myself at the moment.

My question relates to AP security when AP are installed in corridors or places where they can be easily.manipulated by people passing by.

In such case, I would appreciate if the connecting switch, at the other side of the cable running to the AP, would require the AP to exchange 802.1X data with the switch so that only identified AP would be allowed acces to an AP management VLAN while any other device would be assigned a lockup VLAN, not providing any connectivity.

Idealy, AP would use two different 802.1X profile: one for welcoming WiFi or LAN guests (with InWall AP having downstream connectivity), one upstream connectivity.

  @Vincent-TP

Thank you for referencing the "How to shut down ..." thread. It exactly replies to my question.

  @Vincent-TP

OC300 upgraded with 1.32.8 Build 20251231 Rel.3918.  Huge problem! - I can no longer select any device for configuration changes.

Update:  After rebooting the controller, I can now select the devices.  I don't know why I had to reboot the controller as it usually reboots after a firmware upgrade without any user intervention.

  @Vincent-TP

I just updated to the following version: OC300(UN)_V1_1.32.8_pre-release (Built-in Omada SDN Controller 6.1.0)

Now the dashboard overview is no longer available; the page doesn't seem to load.

Similarly, the health data for the switches is not displayed.

I'd updated my OC300 earlier and haven't noticed any issues so far. However, post-reboot after updating, it did take roughly 10 minutes or so for health stats to start showing.

  @Vincent-TP

The dashboard is working now, I'm surprised but it's good as long as it works.

EDIT:

The switches are working now; it took 30 minutes for everything.

Updated my smaller ubuntu controller and all is working.

Will be updating my large ubuntu server after the new year.

So far it's working.

I can not teach anyone anything - I can only make them think - Socrates
