Hi all,

There are a few threads on these boards about Deco units flashing red, but I have the problem every few months.

I have Virgin Media broadband, with the master Deco unit plugged directly into the VM router, this is in an attic office, the next Deco unit is on the landing, one in the hallway and finally one in the lounge on the ground floor.

Every few months or so, the Deco units will just flash red and be unavailable. I will then have to go around and reset them all and add them back to the network.

I have tried it with the VM WiFi off and on and, originally, the main VM router used to be downstairs and the same problem used to happen.

I just wondered if anyone had any answer to resolve this?

We could, of course, ask Virgin Media for WiFi Max Pods, but I have had these Deco units for quite some time and, when I was on Now broadband some 3 years ago, it never used to happen.

Hi, welcome to the community.

Can I have the firmware version of the Deco S7?

Did you set Deco into "Access Point" mode?

Can you share some screenshots of the network maps on the Deco App, such as:

In case there is something wrong with the current main Deco, it is also recommended to refer to this link to set a new Deco as the main Deco:

How to replace the main Deco with another Deco

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.
