Hello everyone,

I have a newbie question regarding range extenders. I'm considering acquiring a TP-Link range extender to use with my TP-Link AXE5400 Tri-Band WiFi 6E Router (Archer AXE75).

My question is whether the range extender will replicate all the SSIDs currently set up on my router. I have "SSID1" for the main network on 5GHz, "SSID2" on 2.4GHz for IoT devices (IoT Network Feature), "SSID3" for guest access (Guest Network Feature, with isolated nodes), and "SSID4" on 6GHz.

I need to understand if the range extender will extend all of these networks, or if it will only replicate one SSID. I'm looking to improve the signal in a distant room where coverage is lacking, and I want to ensure all networks reach that area.

If anyone can recommend a suitable range extender, perhaps the RE815XE, I would appreciate it!

Thank you for your assistance!

Best,

John

Hi,

To my knowledge, there is no combination of Archer AXE75 and any range extender model that would be capable of replicating the Guest network of the Archer AXE75.

Hello @John_WR ,

Welcome to our community.

As woozle mentioned, our current range extender primarily extends the router's main network; extensions to the guest network and other networks are still in the planning stages.

Note that the RE815XE does not yet support EasyMesh. If you need to add a range extender that supports EasyMesh, click here to view and select one.

Best Regards.
