Model: Tapo S220
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Is anyone else having this problem?

An S220 has been registered with the Tapo app. Both switches are visible in the overview. Both switches are OFF.

If one of the switches is turned ON in the app, the status is displayed correctly in the overview.

If one of the switches is then turned OFF in the app, the status is displayed correctly in the overview.

If one of the switches is turned ON or OFF directly on the S220, the status is NOT displayed correctly in the overview.

If one of the switches is turned ON or OFF by an automatic function, the status is NOT displayed correctly in the overview.

If you go directly to the switch from the overview, the status is displayed correctly after about a second (you can see the change).

If you then switch back to the overview, the status is displayed correctly there as well.

This means that the status change is updated directly in the background on the respective switch, but not in the overview.

In a few isolated cases, it rarely works, but most of the time it doesn't. At the first attempt often goes correctly.

You should try it several times, then you'll notice.

I suspect a software bug and request a fix.

PS: I also own several P100, P110, S110E, S112, and T110 models.

It works correctly on those, only not on the S210 and S220.

Please ensure your Tapo app is updated. And do not enable VPN on your phone while using the Tapo app.

This seems like a data refresh delay. Did you try refreshing the app homepage? Does it help?
