Hi Guys

Been using UNTANGLE, Watchguard, Astaro and OpnSense for years, and found the alure of extending an Omada setup to include a gateway too much to ignore.

Bought the ER7412-M2 - but cant see how to configure the LAN ports as routable ports each on their own network.

Is this possible or is the only way to route traffic across these ports to setup each on its own VLAN?

I cant see in Omada any way to assign each interface with an IP Address on its own LAN - only assign a VLAN.

I need to be able to setup up rules between each of these LAN interfaces, so I guess thats the next question - once the LAN ports are each on their own network, can I have filtering rules between them?

I am begining to think I should stay with full UTM devices and not head in this direction.

Thanks in advance for your help.

  @URL

You set up VLANs and assign the gateway an IP address on each one with corresponding DHCP server, then you change the gateway ports to be native to whichever vlan you want them on.  After that, set up gateway ACL rules

  @GRL Thank you - that is not what I would have guessed, your clear reply is very much appreciated.

I gave this a go this afternoon, and although a couple of port worked fine, I am plagued with the original error - seen below:

Is there an easy way to see which port it thinks has the LAN set as a PVID?

Can you confirm that its just the gateway that it has an aiisue with as clearnly several switch ports (other devices) have VLANs set as PVID.

Any links to docs or videos on this?

Thanks in advance....

You dont need to remove vlans from ports, you just set the ports themselves to the PVID you want them on

Gateway DEvice > Manage > Ports > Edit
