OC300 new Firmware 1.33.6 Build 20260227. Is it available or not?
I'm getting conflicting information from my OC300. It says there is a new 1.33.6 Controller "Software", yet when using the "check for Update" button it reports it's running the latest version (1.32.10). I managed to get both messages at the same time.

OC300 support page for HW V1 also doesn't show a new "Firmware".

I don't like upgrading blindly without looking at the changelog (which I cannot find) and there is one particular bug I'm looking to get fixed (annoying message to update EOL devices that will never get an update).
Googling for it returns a result, but following the link leads to an empty netherlandish result.

Given the new firmware is dated over 2 weeks ago:
Is there a new firmware or not?
Why am I getting these conflicted messages?
Can anyone provide the changelog?

Hi @Tintronic
Thanks for posting here.
1.33.6 is the RC version for OC300, which is not published to the website.
Did you enable Join Early Access Program?

If yes, you will get this notice.
You can get the changelog from the following post:

Hello @Vincent-TP
No, as can be seen from my first screenshot, I have the "Join Early Access Program" option disabled (I've never enabled it), so there is no reason for me to get the new firmware notification for anything other than stable releases.
But still, there is a discrepancy between the automatic and the manual FW check for updates. It should either be shown on both or neither.
Thanks for the changelog link.

I have not joined early access as well but received the notification to upgrade to this firmware from my OC300 v1 controller and did it. I have no complaints so far regarding the operation of this firmware version. But since it is a release candidate, should I roll it back to previous official version?

@Tintronic I'm getting the same result for my OC200 v2 today. I get the popup
New Controller Software Available
New Controller software 2.24.6 Build 20260227 Rel.85612 is now available.
I get the same blank page when I try to search for v2.24.6. No documentation anywhere, and the same as you when I check the website for the latest to download, it shows v2.23.10. And I don't have Early access either.
It seems like v2.24.6 may have been recalled or something, which scares me to just blindly click Update without knowing if it was recalled or what changes I should expect.
EDIT: I may have toggled the Early Access button a while ago, but promptly turned it off. Maybe once it sees an early access update, it'll keep bugging you regardless of the toggle switch.

I've never ever switched the "Early Access" on any of my two OC300 nor on my OC200 controllers, so activating it temporarily that is not the reason why you're getting the New FW notification.
I just checked an OC200 V2 that is on a low usage site and yes, it also shows a (v1.39.6) Build 20260227 update popup, while the manual FW Update checking returns no new firmware.
According to Vincent-TP, 1.33.6 was quickly superseeded by 1.33.7 as shown by the changelog at https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/forum/topic/859086. If I understand the changelog correctly, the only difference is a new feature, number 37 in the "New Features" section:
"37. Added support for cloud-based remote access (NAT traversal) that lets administrators reach HTTP/HTTPS services on private-LAN devices through a cloud-connected jump host, available for gateway 6.2 firmware and select switch/AP 6.2 builds in Network Tools > Remote Access and Client Details > Toolbox > Remote Access (Cloud Access must be enabled for Local Controller)."
Since the changelog doesn't reflect a fix to the annoying wrong New Firmware for EOL devices, I'm staying away from it until a stable release.

I've run into the same situation.
On my OC300, I had "Join Early Access Program" disabled (I've never enabled it) and the Release Channel set to Stable, but since an update notification appeared, I checked the release notes and went ahead with the upgrade.
Since the release notes were available at the time, I assumed the stable version had been released.
Given that the release notes have also been removed, was it pulled due to some kind of bug or issue?
